I have no doubt that when Big Mama enter the Gates of Heaven, Jesus greeted her with open arms for a life well lived. She "matter" to so many people whose lives she touched with her generosity, wisdom, unconditional love, and infectious smile. Big Mama touched my soul.

Melanie and family,
We are saddened by 'Nora's passing. It always gave me a big lift and usually a good laugh to visit with her. You were blessed to call her Mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Mrs. Shannon was a second mom to me. Living just across the street, it seems she was always there welcoming me with a smile, helping me with anything I needed and always wise counsel. I love her dearly and her passing just made heaven a little sweeter! To all the rest of the Shannons...I love you dearly, as my own family and my heart and prayers are with you.

My mother always loved her. She was like family to my grandparents, Wayne and Jo Davis. She will be missed.

To my lovely and wonderful Big MAMA... Your presence on this earth will be missed, but never forgotten. I will never forget your love for me and Kendal. I rejoice that I will see you again in Heaven and KNOW that you and Big Daddy are cuttin' a rug with Jesus as we speak.
Tell my girl "hi" and that I love her and can't wait to see her!

Such a SWEET soul. Big Momma was loved by SO many. She lived a good life and loved to talk about her adventures when she became an RV'r and traveled...despite the fact that friends and family thought they had lost their mind (i.e. before RV'ng was the cool thing to do). She now joins her soul mate and maker.
