i was shocked and saddened when I heard the news of Melissa's death. I will always remember her wonderful smile. I knew her from St. john's church in Georgetown, Canada. I am sure she fought the battle with courage and hope. Rest in peace dear Melissa.

I was so very sorry to hear that such a bright light has gone out on this earth. I have such wonderful memories of Melissa. The kids know me as Shelley Wheeler and my boys Jeffrey & Matt had lots of fun times with Brittany, Tiffany & Cameron!! Melissa and I had tons of adventures that always ended up in hilarious laughter. I will remember her with a smile!

I am truly saddened to learn about Melissa's illness and passing. We were classmates at HJ many years ago, band nerds but it was a good thing back then! I pray that your family has peace and comfort knowing that Melissa has now found perfect healing.

What an amazing woman. Strong spirited and dedicated to those she loved and cared for. I remember her as being able to go from water gun fights to fiercly advocating for those who struggled. This world was not ready for her fierce convictions, but heaven is now blessed. Hugs to Brittany, Cameron, and Tiffany. You lost your biggest defender!

So sad to have the loss of a friend from the past. How I wish I had only known and could have been there for her in her time of need. Yet she passed in death much how she lived life, on her own terms. Melissa, know that you were loved by many, you touched even more, and you absence will be felt for years to come. May the rest you have now bring a peace to your heart that could not be felt here on Earth.
