Dear Cheryl, Vicki and Nelson: The world has lost a kind and gentle soul! Your dad was such an honest and caring man. Mom worked with him at First National Bank and the funny stories she told would always make us laugh. Years later, he and Betty Ann would come to visit Mom and Dad when they lived in the log cabin and I got to visit with him often. I will keep you in my prayers for the days and months that lie ahead. Love to all!

All of your family are in my thoughts & prayers. Many years ago I worked at First National Bank of Silsbee with Mr Long. Nelson ,you were a young man working after school with us. What a hoot you were. Your dad always seemed to appear just as you were up to some mischief. May God heal your broken hearts & give you strength in the days ahead.

Nelson & Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Long, or 'Big Daddy', as I fondly called him, was such a special person. He was one of the sweetest, kindest men I knew. I am thankful for having known him. You know I will be there for you, whatever you need. I will be keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Love you lots!
