Jay was always my favorite cousin. He and my father were first cousins. He always took time out with us kiddos.
We always loved to go and visit Jay's house (J. V. as we would call him) He always had an array of animals, even bee hives at one point. He didn't mind us kids following him around, watching him tend to all of his animals and various projects he had going on. He was so patient with us.
Rest in Peace J. V. You will be missed. Love...Kat...

Jay was a wonderful neighbor but he was much more to us. He and Rose taught us a lot about gardening and Jay a lot about tinkering. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and to Betty and Ricky you took such good care of him and Rose. Bless you for having such big hearts.....

jay was a true character and always fun to be around. One of a kind for sure! May he rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy to the entire family, especially Betty. My deepest respect to Betty and Rick for the care and dedication they showed to Jay, and also to Rose, over these past years. God will bless you both. It's an honor to serve our parents but not always an easy road. I know you have no regrets. Love you both!

The best kind of uncle one could have ever had. I'm grateful for all the times I got to spend with him. I will miss him.
