Ms Linda
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Mr. Gene was a good man and very respected. I could never get over how many people Mr. Gene knew. Someone would walk in the building and Mr. Gene would have a story to tell about how he knew that person. He made me laugh all the time. I am going to miss him but he is in such a better place now. I can see him and your mother holding hands. He's definitely smiling, Together again!!!
Always Jennifer

So sorry to read of Gene's passing. I volunteered with him at Baptist Hospital. He always had a big smile on his face and so enjoyed helping others. He was truly an inspiration to me.
May God grant you peace at this trying time. Prayers for all.

Linda and family,
We are so sorry to hear of this sweet man's passing, but we know he is in your mother's arms. What a homecoming it must have been. You should be proud to have had such sweet parents, as I am. May God give you all strength, comfort and peace. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Much love and God's blessings!

I am truly saddened and heart broken over the death of this man that I fondly called "Papa Gene". I had the honor and privilege of working with him at Broussards. He always had a smile on his face and knew everyone that walked thru the front door. He dedicated his life to his family and community. And always helped when he was asked. He will be truly missed. He was loved by all who knew him. Love you Papa Gene and I know that you are with Ms. Dee where you have wanted to be and I know you are smiling down on us. We will miss you and you will never be forgotten.

Gene was always a gentleman to talk with and he always had something nice to say. I will miss his huge smile and his great personality.
Truly, he was one of the good guys who devoted his life to his family, and he was a community builder.
My condolences are with the Fears family.

Coach Fears was a great coach and an excellent roll model. Some people leave a lasting impression on your life and Coach was one of those people you don't forget. Very sorry for your loss.
