So sorry to hear about Mr. Moor's passing. I worked for him straight out of college and always appreciated the strong work ethic that he tried to teach me. As time has passed I have realized more and more just how important my time working for him has been in my own business accomplishments. My prayers are with his entire family.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Ted in late-1981. He was kind enough to hire me to serve as General Manager of his Amarillo Gold Sox and one of his proudest accomplishments was the successful return of professional baseball to his beloved hometown of Beaumont, Texas in 1983. He enjoyed every pitch of the four year run in Beaumont, and in hindsight, he was a pioneer and trendsetter in so many ways. Another chapter in Beaumont's professional baseball history has now come to an end. He was a great man. My condolences to the family - Lou Valentic, GM - Beaumont Golden Gators, 1983 - 1986.

I have only known Ted since 2007 when my organization became a tenant in the Old First City Building in Downtown Beaumont. What a delightful friend I made with Ted over the years. The history of our city was a joy to discuss and learn, to know things from his eyes. Laughing so much about his being a little boy going for ice cream and the joy of a swim. That's exactly the way I will always see him, the way I saw him as my friend: young at heart, generous, caring and straightforward. I cannot believe it is true that you have left us. I will cherish the time we had and remember how you gave freely to all of us. Rest in Peace my friend.
