Rebecca and family,
Dr. Woodland will be remembered and revered for his vast contributions of time and talent to the Lamar community. Everyone he ever knew will also remember that wonderful smile and the kind words he always spoke. He is one of Lamar's shining lights, a light that will eternally shine. Please accept my condolences.

Miss Mary, and all of the Woodland family:
I am deeply saddened to read of Naaman's passing. It has been my privilege to know you both through these last 50+ years. My fondest memory is singing in BICS' inaugural performance in the old sanctuary of First Methodist Church, when Gladys Quilliam conducted (and Mrs Cloud accompanied) Messiah. A memory of a lifetime !
Please accept my sincere condolences, and know that Naaman's life will be remembered and celebrated by ALL those whom he touched.
Your friend, Paul Anawaty

I enjoyed listening to all you had to say Mr. Woodland. I could have learned more from you. The world is a dimmer place without you but as a believer I know you are rejoicing in the Heavenly Kingdom. Farewell, I will miss you always!

Naaman Woodland was a true gentleman and scholar. By his thoughts, words, and deeds, he exemplified the Christian Principles by which he lived. His many contributions to Beaumont and Lamar are immeasurable. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Naaman was a friend of the family with our common connection being a love of the music arts in Southeast Texas. It was my privledge to serve with him on the Beaumont Music Commission. The thoughts and prayers of the Browning family go out to you at this time.

The loss of one of the most admired men in Beaumont and other places beyond is a sad day for all of us. I was privileged to know him through the SE Texas Genealogical & Historical Society as well as serve with him on the committee to restore Tyrrell Historical Library. It was through these connections that we learned Mary and I were cousins on her mother's side. I have been grateful for friendship from both of them and offer my deepest sympathy to his survivors. Sincerely, Margie Boyd

Mary and family. I m saddened to hear of your loss. Naaman was always such a wonderful and spirited man and a great friend. It was always a pleasure just running into him here or there and catching up. I know he is in a better place and free of the difficulties he has experienced over the last few years. My prayers to allow you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Philip and Cindy. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Woodland personally (only Philip and Cindy), but my family has a huge love of music and my mom also sang in the Interfaith Choir. His mark was definitely made her on earth!
