Laurie, I was sorry to hear about your Dad. I have very fond memories of him. Prayers to your family.

Walter and I have been friends since the ninth grade. We were inseparable. We attended Pendleton Presbyterian Church where he met Peggy and I met my ex. Lou. We lost touch through the years. I found out he and Peggy were living in Texas. My wife and I visited them on our way to Houston several years ago. My prayers go to all the family.

I am very thankful and grateful for my parent's long term friendship with Walt and Peggy. For many years, they played cards together, bowled, RV'ed, and enjoyed each other's companionship. They are wonderful friends of my parents and have always been nothing but gracious to me. Walt was a true gentleman and he will be missed.

Love this picture of Walt......that's the smile I remember from all the Sunday gatherings around the dinner tables in Memphis. My heart goes out to all the family and friends...love you all.

Peggy and I have been friends since the second grade. She was Maid of Honor in our wedding. We first knew Walter when they were dating and my husband was a groomsmen in their wedding. So for 64 years Walter has been in our lives and will be fondly remembered and missed. Our prayers go to all the family.

Uncle Walt was very close to my heart. I am so proud to be part of his family that he loved, showing us all, the true kindness of his nature.
