I was enthralled reading this story about Mr. Parigi. Everyone in Beaumont has heard of the Parigi family but reading this history has thrown a new light on this wonderful family. All should read it and learn the importance of family and education and loyalty to Country. Bless you Mr. Parigi for writing this all down to share with us. I wish I had known you.

Legacy is measured by the lives they touch, and Sam touched so many people during his life.
We were deeply sadden to hear of Sam's passing. The love for his family was so evident in his words which helped him live his life to the fullest. His words touched our hearts and was so special he was able to say what he wanted to be remembered. Our sympathy goes out to the wonderful family he left behind.

Dear JoAnn and Cathy: It's been years since we have seen each other - I am (Professor) Sam Parigi's daughter and have lived in Austin for about 17 years now.
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. He and your mother were both wonderful people - I know my father always thought very highly of them and they were always very kind to all of us. I don't know if you remember, but they were actually godparents to my brother, Frank, and we used to see you all often at holidays, etc. when we were children.
I so enjoyed reading the mini-biography he wrote - how smart of you to use it! I'm so glad you were all able to stay so close all of these years - I can only imagine how happy that must have made him knowing how much he loved all of his family!
My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.. Elizabeth (Liz) Parigi Stobart

Dearest family, loosing Sam is really so very difficult. There has never been a kinder sweeter man. We are a very lucky family, there were so many of us and we are all blessed with a deep faith and unconditional love for one another, we have our parents and grandparents to thank for giving us this precious gift. Watch over us Sam. Your cousin, Carlis

I am a first cousin of Sam's but it has been many years since I have seen him. I would keep up with him some on facebook and talked to him before we went to Italy and he gave me very good advice. When we were younger, our brothers were close and we visited quite a bit. His dad and my dad (Cyril) were brothers and worked together first at the gas station and then each owned grocery stores. Sam was a great man and I wish we were have visited more as we aged. So sorry for your loss.
