Dear Shirley, Brian and Kevin,
I'm so sorry to hear this news and for your loss. Truly every memory I have of Hal is a happy one. He was 'one of the guys' when we were teenagers and we owe him so much. Memories of his friendship and advice to us young men has stayed with me all these years. I'm grateful to have known him.

Brian, Kevin and Shirley:

It is with a sad heart that I heard the news about Hal. He was an absolutely fantastic person. Many of my fondest memories of high school included your family and Hal. He had a great sense of humor and really cared about people. He went out of his way to look after all of us, despite the dumb things we did, and he tried to keep us out of trouble and safe. I have 3 teenagers of my own now and I hope that they and their friends will remember me in the way that we remember Hal. He was more than a parent, he was a friend to us all.

May the warm memories of Hal comfort you in this time. God bless you.

Dear Shirley, Kevin, Bryan and family: please accept my heartfelt condolences necks on your loss. I have enjoyed my friendship with Hal for 30+ years and will miss him greatly. My admiration for him both personally and professionally was without reservation. Even opposing one another in court was always a pleasure.
