Dear Shirley, Bryan and Kevin,
Hal Laine was one of the first lawyers I met when I started practicing law. He always went out of his way to speak with me. Over the years we became friends. He was a very good trial lawyer and a very good man. I am proud for Hal to have been my friend and colleague.
May God continue to bless and comfort you all. I know that Hal is at peace in the arms of The Lord.

Dear Shirley, Brian, Kevin and family Hal was a man and lawyer that I always looked up to and highly respected. He was one of he most talented trial attorneys I have ever seen. He was always so fearless but jovial all at the same time. He would tell you exactly what he thought and he didn't care if you agreed or disagreed. He was also one of the kindness persons I have ever known and he helped me on many occasions. I will miss him getting me in trouble with the Judge during docket call because he was making me laugh. I will miss my friend but will cherish the memories.

Dear Bryan and Kevin:
Tonight, as you remember your Father's life, please know that your family is in my prayers, and that our profession is the better for the fights that your father fought in the course of his life. I shall always remember your father as a gentleman of the highest order, and as an advocate who was never ashamed or afraid to advance the causes of the poor, afflicted, and weak. In his life, he stood for truth, justice, and the rights of man. Hopefully, we as members of our profession are able to strive in our professional development to become legends as was he. May he rest in peace. God Bless you all!
Your Friend,
Dallas J. Barrington
