Michael, we went through most of primary and middle school at Lumberton. Through all those years, I never heard you say one negative thing about anyone. You always had a smile on your face and you loved your family.

What should have been said to you while on this earth I'm saying now: You were above the standard of what Christians should represen in the name of Jesus Christ. You showed love and compassion with a contagious laugh.

What an amazingly "gifted" Christian you were...it was TRULY you God-given Talent while on this earth.

Michael and I were classmates from a very young age at Lumberton ISD. I remember him very well. A few years ago I was cleaning some things out of storage and ran across a box of saved things from school that had gotten wet. There was a note in there that he had given me, somewhere around 3rd or 4th grade. I was really sad to hear that he had passed away. I know that he brought a lot of light and love into this world, especially for children. It never seems fair when people like this are taken so young, but it's like the old saying goes, "God only takes the best!" I send my sincerest condolences to your family. I know Mike will be missed by many.

Mikey touched thousands of hearts during his too-short life with his talents, gifts and patient teaching. Singing, entertaining and mentoring were among the best of his many gifts and his legacy will always be his love for children and his family.
