James Bennett Creed, M.D.

To a dear friend from my younger years around 1970 and 1971
I met him when I was a seated at a table on the strand at a café. I remember he was reading the JAMA. I was recovering from the loss of my fiancé. For some unknown reason, I decided to get up and go over to his table where I introduced myself. We struck up a conversation and developed a close friendship over time. I remember he bought a ski boat.
we spent many happy hours on Offuts bayou, near Galveston Texas. At the time, I remember he was married to a lady named Pat Creed. Apparently, they were childhood friends. Many wonderful days and weekends were spent with the Creeds.
Jim was a very kind and courteous, extremely giving and friendly gentleman.
I shall treasure his memory forever.

What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man, he is surely missed. All our love.

This is so hard to write without constant tears. yes I was an employee for approximately 20 1/2 years but we were more of a "family". The best boss ever. Kind, compassionate, generous and real to me and my family. Thank you Ginny for sharing him with us. It has been a complete blessing.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim & I were best friends during our first 2 years of medical school in Galveston, TX. He always gave people and their problems his best effort. The world is a better place because of him!

Ginny, I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Creed was such a wonderful, caring man. It was a pleasure being your office neighbor for so many years. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God will help you through this difficult time.

I have known 'Jamie' since the 2nd grade at Robt E Lee ES in Port Arthur. He was always more serious than the rest of us and of course, more intelligent than most.
My sympathies to his family as they mourn his passing.

Such a wonderful man as well as a great physician, He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

I was so sad when Dr. Creed closed his practice- I had been with him so long- there was no one else I even wanted to consider working with. He was so caring and seemed genuinely interested in his patients. I'm sorry this terrible disease took you from us so early.

Dr. Creed was my mentor and encourager. I loved and respected him. I'm never dealing with a psych patient that I don't think of him. My wish is that my practice would honor him and his legacy of giving honor and dignity to all patients.

I have thought of him often and fondly since the 90's when Dr. Creed and I traveled together on small planes, trains and automobiles to introduce the electronic medical record and electronic signature to physicians in various hospital communities in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. He was an industry leading user of "cutting edge" technology. We had such a great time traveling together. He was an early adopter and one of the most enthusiastic physician users I have ever known. He helped so many other docs adopt advanced technology in phyician offices and in hospitals. !! Ginny, I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Please know you are in my thoughts. Cindy
