Herb was my brother. He was my first playmate, my first best friend. He was warm, caring and had a silly heart. My heart aches for the loss of my best friend. And my heart aches for his wife and children. I know he is finally at peace and finally out of pain. And now the pain lies with those he left behind. There has been dozens of times I wish I could call him or text him. My life will never be the same without him. I loved him dearly and always will. Rest in Peace Herb. I miss you and I love you.

There are not words to say that will make everything ok. I'm so sorry for your loss, all of this seems unbelieveable. All I know is how happy Herb made you and the girls. He loved all of you so much and it was obvious how happy you all were. Thank you Herb for loving my friend and giving her happiness she has never had before. To the Ballance family I'm so sorry for your loss. I still can't believe it. We are so honored to have been part of Herb's life. He was so good to my sister, Monika, and to Kayla and Courtney. We have been blessed with three more nieces and nephews, that we love and will look after.. RIP Herb. We love you.
