Michael "Mike" Robert Conwell

WOW Been searching Internet, asking my mom in Corpus Christi, Texas and just found out today. So many memories St. Patrick School, Cullen Jr. High, King High School, University of Texas sophomore room mates and traveling to Europe. My most lasting memory of Mike is playing cards, drinking beer in his bedroom behind his garage. I can smell it, I can see it as though it was yesterday! It is what it is and life goes on!

OMG, I just learned of Mike's passing today, August 4, 2015! After graduate school, in 1975, Mike lured me to Houston. He said repeatedly, "Come on down to Houston, Orin. There are lots of jobs here and plenty of pretty girls." I finally heeded Mike's siren call. Good thing I did. I found a great professional job at Brown and Root. There I met a pretty girl who is not my wonderful wife.
I just told many today in a speech how I had Mike to thank. So I Googled him and here I find he is gone. I'm heartbroken. Rest in peace my long lost friend. God bless you, Mike.

Mike and I were fellow bankers at First City, Bmt. Enjoed his time he spent with us, and his friendship.
