Danny and Mrs. Cornwell,
I will continue to pray for you both and the rest of your family during this difficult time. If there is ever anything you need or that I can do, please do not hesitate to give me or Paul a call.
Mr. Cornwell will be missed so much. It was always such a joy going to visit him and Mrs. Cornwell. His sweet smile will forever be etched in my mind. There was never a time that I went to visit that he didn't have a ton of kind words for me, even if he wasn't feeling well. I love this sweet man dearly and always will. He truly was like a grandpa to me and I was so blessed to have been fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.
Love, Angie

Aunt Ruth and Danny,
We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Wendell's passing. It is with great regret that we were unable to attend the service and to see you. He have such fond memories of you all and Uncle Wendell will always have a special place in our hearts. I know that he is playing ball with Woody, Sam, Otto, David and Jonathan right now and they are having a grand time. What joy that brings our hearts. May God bring you peace. We love you, Scott and Terri

We shared rides to "the Gulf"on many days Wendell could fill a car/van seat with little room for anyone else being a big man in size but always would say I'll move over there's room. Prayers and good thoughts go to the Cornwell family.

I will never forget the love and joy this amazing man brought to my life. He is no longer with us in this physical world, but he will always be in our hearts and memories. I remember riding on his tractor as a young boy and the many trips we took together to the Village Creek (see I told you that fish would make it back alive). Granddad I miss you, but I know you are with your Lord and Savior reunited with your two amazing sons. Love you always.

Some of my happiest memories are the visits and conversations I had with Mr. Wendell and his sweet wife. His story of his football career. was one of my favorites. He leaves a legacy of military sacrifice and a strong work ethic. May the Comforter, Mr Wendell knew so well, wrap His arms around the family he loved so much.

The Cornwell family has been part of my life for - well, my entire life. I thank God for the 90 good years that He granted to Wendell Cornwell. He will be missed by many. Love and prayers going out to Dan and Ruth and the rest of the family from the Frees.
