I have no words to truly say how I feel. You were truly an amazing man and I am honored to have known you and spent many hours sharing stories and dreams. You taught me what faith means and about always seeing the best in people and circumstances. You were our strength during and after Ike, always moving forward with positive thoughts and actions. When I wanted to quit, you always found ways to encourage me to hang on just one more day. Now, what I wouldnt give for just one more day. i will continue to honor you every morning with my first cup of coffee as we have done for so long i cant remember not doing it. Don't worry about E-I-0. He will always know who Daddy was and how very much you loved him. He has your beautiful eyes. Rest easy my brother, we will take it from here and see you again.

Harley and I went to school togther from third grade on....I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face! My husband served on the police force with him, and we were fortunate enough to live across the street from his parents, who were the salt of the earth people. RIP Harley, you were one of the good ones!!

Harley was one of the most respected persons I knew. He always had a smile and kind word for others. He made sure other came before himself and he will be truly missed. His love was something to behold, whether to his family, friends or strangers, he gave his all.
Now he is at peace with the Lord.

The sudden lose of my close friend was just devastating to me. We worked together for couple years in the late 80's and remained friends ever since. I felt his recent sufferings deeply but was astounded at how well he delt with it all.. He loved people and you couldn't help, but like him and want to be a friend. I consider myself lucky to have known him and been his friend. Rest in peace , Harley, hope to see you on the other side....

We are heartbroken. Over the years we would just run into Harley in the most unexpected places. Called the Crystal Beach EMS one evening---and who appears in the ambulance----Harley. Went to a foster care children's party and who appears----Harley. Our nephew goes to California for safety training and who is the instructor-----Harley. He will be missed!
