I served in the Corps with Harley until he injured his back. Myself and other Marine friends visited Harley frequently when he was hospitalized at Camp Lejeune. The last time I saw Harley was in Beaumont and he was in uniform in his patrol car. So sorry to hear of his passing and I would like to hear more about how he passed at such a young age. It was certainly sad and shocking news to me.

I didn't see Harley often after we were grown, but the world was a better place for me just knowing he was here. My heart aches now. I love this man and will miss his earthly presence tremendously. He was a truly wonderful person and I thank God he is now out of pain and at peace. My prayers are with the rest of his family. May God hold you and comfort you in this trying time.

I went to school with Harley at Amelia Elementary, Marshall Junior High, and Forest Park High school. I had only seen him a few times since including our 20th class reunion but Harley was always a nice guy. I remember him directing traffic out of the parking lot on old sour lake rd (now Phelan) as school ended. we all knew he, like his granddad and dad would be a policeman. That is an important job but as the picture in the guestbook shows Grandpa was more rewarding. Sincerest condolences to his family. He will be missed. And remembered well

Oh Harley, you had one of the kindest, biggest hearts I ever knew! Whether your genuine friendship and respect for your dogs or all the human friends who were drawn to you over the years, you met each one with compassion and joy born from your deep spiritual roots. we will miss you on this plane but rejoice that your time of trial is finished. May the angels come to meet you and usher you into the company of the saints in Light.

What a great neighbor you were. You helped us through the rebuild process after Ike, provided guidance, even used the same builder. We loved seeing the Marine Corp flag flying in the morning from your porch. You always had a friendly greeting, a kind word.
We can’t image what Crystal Beach will be without you. Bill and Sandra, Ave D
