Ms Jo & Andrea, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I was lucky enough to be Tommy's assistant at Vance Mathews. He was a breath of fresh air and so loving, a big heart, a big smile. He made my time there fun, and I also made life long friendships as a result, to this day the VMX girls! I have and will continue to hold a speacial place in my heart having had Tommy as my Boss.

Jo and Andrea....I am so very sorry for your loss. Tom was my favorite boss I ever had and I'm serious about that. It was a total honor to be his assistant for 4 years. He was never in a bad mood and made working at V-M fun, fun, fun!! I just smile when I remember him singing "Start spreading the news...." My love and prayers to your entire family!!

I met Tommy in 1959 when I was just 17. I had the pleasure of being his "sidekick" on Channel 4's "Jive At Five" television show for two years, and our friendship endured. We enjoyed taping together the 50th anniversary show for Channel 4 a few years back, and more recently he encouraged me on an idea I brought him. Fifty years had not changed a thing. How great to have known him!

Over a considerable length of time, Jack and I were acquainted with Tommy. However, recently when spending time with Tommy's good friend, Jerry Reese, we learned so many fun and interesting facts, qualities, plus stories belonging to Tommy. Lots more to him than we ever realized. What a guy. Jack and I missed so much. Even so, it was a pleasure to be entertained and be committed to a big smile by Tommy! Love to all of Tommy's family from Kelly and Jack McNeill

What a loss. I remember fondly all my experiences with him and his wife Jo during our years in the Lamar theater department fundraisers. He could always be counted on to support the arts. We love you Jo and will miss him too.

My condolences to the family. Tom was like and uncle to me when I was a kid. I learned a lot from this man. Our prayers go out to the family.
