To Joan's family: my prayers and thoughts are with you at this time of sadness. Joan was my classmate, KHS 1968. We all loved her. I remember her kindness. To this very day I think of her when I hear a Beatles song played. If I remember correctly I think her mom took her to see them in concert in Houston maybe, 1964 or 65? We all thought that was just so cool. I will always remember my friend from childhood and cherish all those memories. God bless you all.

To Joan's family, My heart is saddened to hear this news about my childhood friend and to know you all are in my prayers. I have a picture of Joan and several other little girls as Fairies at a HalfTime football game, I still think of her as that little girl. I wish I could give her a big hug right now.
