Dearest Evelyn- Thank you for calling today to let me know about my dear friend, Skipper. His was a melodious voice used to sing praises to his Savior. And...Skipper sold me my first car a Corvair and nephew Bobby was so happy - his feet reached the floor. Sweet memories could go on and on--the Men's Trio, taping TV services, sharing Bobby's first bite of watermelon and how he shuddered. May our precious Lord grant you peace and comfort. Please be assured of our prayers and thoughts today and in many months to come. Harold & Sandy

A voice stilled on earth. A voice installed in heaven. You might say Skipper's CA drive is working well! I'll bet our Lord has him leading the singing at some portal at this moment, with that wonderful smile going strong!! Until we join him we cherish the memories.

Ms "Skipper": My deepest sympathy on our loss. Skip and I shared many enjoyable years working in the kitchen at St.Mark's Thursday Morning Men's Prayer Breakfast. Everyone always looked forward to Skip's fresh homade biscuits every Thursday morning. He graciuosly gave me a disc with some of his recording that I will always treasure. I'm very sorry that the services and visiting hours conflict with the Wednesday visits with Millie's mother's visiting hours, so I will not be at the church for either the visitation nor the church services She is under hospice care at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur, She is 96 years old., so we will be there. We both know that "Skip" is in Heaven with his LORD. We will miss him.

I have strong memories of Skipper leading the worship at Cathederal when I was growing up. Great voice. My condolences on his passing...I know my parents (Tom and Claire) were at the front of the line to welcome him to Heaven

What a special place Skipper has in our hearts! He sang at the funerals of our grandparents, parents, and our wedding in 1969. We know he has that "Skipper smile" on his face as he is singing with the Heavenly choir. We will miss our life long friend until we meet again.

Mrs. Skipper, I can't tell you how much he will be missed. I"ve known him through the Men's Prayer Breakfast at St. Mark's Church. He was a wonderful man and a true Christian and he could really sing. He was loved by us all. It's so difficult to give up our loved ones, but we have those precious memories which can never be taken away. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
