Iris Marie Cain Abney

Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Abney family. Miss Iris was a genuinely nice person and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Ken, Carolyn and family, so very sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We have lost a beautiful and true Christian Friend. My family loved Iris and Conway and of course their children. As 4-H Leaders they taught many youngsters the meaning of life and how to accomplish their goals with hard work and joy. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God has a lovely new angel. She will be greatly missed. I bet she, Conway and my late husband, Don, are having a great reunion in heaven.

Iris was a lovely lady, and was instrumental in raising our grand daughter, Brandy, when her daughter,
Sue (Brandy's mother) passed awy. She was so well-loved in the Nome community.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your mom. I pray that God will wrap you with His comfort and peace. Your Mom and Dad raised some fine children. I know you all made her proud.

I wanted to send lots of love and prayers to all of you. We all know Nanners via Brandy and love her. We all know she was a tremendous part of Brandy's life and helped mold her into the wonderful person she is and the one we all love. Thank you Nanners!

Prayers going out to all of you: I was taught sewing, cooking, how to give a speech or presentation skills by Mrs. Abney. I was taught how to care for and show steers and pigs by Mr. Abney. Sue was a part of this teaching team too, I remember her love for teaching. The Abney's allowed me opportunities to grow that I may have missed if not for knowing them. These skills have molded my life. Now their children live on to be the kind that always want to help others. Blessing to you all, I love you all! Patty Martel Allison

What a wonderful example of kindness and love! May we all live our lives in such kindness and friendship. To all of her loved ones: we offer our comfort and support to each of you. Her sweet smile will be missed. I am so happy for her that today she is with her beloved Mr. Conway and is free from pain and discomfort that only mortal life gives us. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Iris. She was one of my grandmother's very best friends for many years. She was a very sweet woman and she will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained a sweet angel.
