Linda Faye & all the Shadow family, we are so sorry for your loss of Red. He was always a happy person. I remember him always coming down to visit his Uncle Ed in the shop to see what he was building now. Those were the good days. Sorry we couldn't make it to the service. Love to you all. Your cousin Ronnie & Sandra Evans

Colossians 3:4 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

There are very few words we can say. I remember all the cookouts and b-day parties for the grandchildren, he seemed to be the entertainment of all. I enjoyed his funny laugh. There was only one Jim Shadow laugh and I will definetly miss it. I know God will comfort you all. Talk to him, he listens, he helped me 5 yrs ago with my mom. Tony, I know you are going to miss him dearly. We are feeling your loss and are sorry, God Bless You!

If I didn't know anything else about Jim, watching how his children and family came together the past few weeks to care for him told me everything I need to know. He was kind, funny, giving, loving, and he was loved. Kevin and I will miss Jim dearly.
To his family, know we are thinking of you during this time.
Love, Kevin and Melissa

I would like to express my condolences to all family and friends of "Jimmy" .. I recently started working at the Waffle House in Lumberton (about a month or so ago); he was a regular indeed and always had a smile and a beautiful greeting every time I came on to the 1st Shift. I was in the Army so we both had a common ground for a conversation piece. He knew everyone and all knew him! I do believe that I waited on him his last day at the Waffle House.. he was very pale and shaking pretty bad but even tho I consistently asked him if he was ok he managed to still scarf down the breakfast we routinely served him every day. I walked him out to his truck and not far behind was another associate running behind to see if we could help him in any way.. he steadfastly refused any help and replied "I will be ok Sweety." Jimmy you were so missed after that day and forever more by everyone at the Waffle House. May you Rest in Peace now sweet man and brother in arms.
