Jeff was a wonderfully unique individual, filled with talent and professionalism that he joyfully shared with his students. My daughter, Gina Hodges Martin, and I were privileged to be two of those students -- she for many classes and projects, I for just one.
His different take on life, his great talent and his quirky sense of humor are all legendary among his students and he will be remembered for the rest of each of our lives.
Prayers for Donna Rae and Axle for comfort and peace during this most trying time.

Donna Rae, Axle, I love you both. I will see you soon. I will not have an easy time saying goodbye to my theatre dad, but I will do my best to keep my chin up for the two of you, but also for him. He'd expect nothing less.
He was the best! We all loved him so much. We all love you two so much and we're here for you. Anything and everything I can do for you now and at any point in the future just let me know. You're part of my family and so many more. I am sad he is gone, but I am happy he still lives in so many hearts, minds and souls.

Donna Rae, I am sorry to hear of your husband's passing. I only met him a few times at the BAL and he seemed to be such a good man. I know he will be missed at Lamar and of course in your life. So sad that Axel has lost such a young caring parent. God bless you and your family as you go through this very difficult time.

Maya Angelo said "A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again." Jeff was a great soul quietly tiptoeing in this world ever so gently leaving footprints on our hearts. And even though he is no longer in our sight his footprints are forever imbedded in our souls. May your memories comfort you and bring you peace.

So many fun times living within walking distance of the Wisors. Babysitting Axle. Loving our sit-outs and conversations. Working around the computer. Good times. Gone too soon.

Jeff was an inspiration to me and many others. He had a profound impact on my life as a professor and mentor. He always encouraged me and pushed me to do better. He helped me to find talents I didn't know I possessed. He was so funny and unique. I will miss him terribly. Donna Rae and Axle are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you comfort and peace during this difficult time.
Love,
Stephanie Nelson(Monica)

DonnaRae and Axel, my heart is broken for you. I did not know Jeff well - but I know that he was well loved not only by you, but by Shell and Lilly, and many many more. I pray for peace for you both and hope that you will find comfort in that peace.
Philippians 4:6-7 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
