Words cannot express how much I loved this woman. She was the kindest, sweetest, most loving person I have ever met. Although we are not blood relations, I have always thought of her as my second mother. She has always been there to help me get through good times and rough times. I have been truly blessed to have had her in my life and already feel the huge hole in my heart. I know she is in a better place now and will always be watching over me. Rest in peace Aunt Dottie. I will always love you, and know that our paths will cross again someday. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I have such wonderful childhood memories of spending time at the James's home on Ector Street. I really thought I was one of your family members and treasure the times we had together. So sorry for the loss of Dorothy, precious wife and mother. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

My sweet sweet Aunt Dottie was a very influential person in my life. Being a strong woman of faith, her life exemplified many Christian values such as kindness, forgiveness, and most of all love and acceptance of people for who and what they were. For a time, I worked at Green Acres Grocery for her, Uncle Ernie and Uncle Max. They all worked extremely hard and from them I learned my work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit along that GRIT AND DETERMINATION can get you through the hard times that life will at some point throw at you! I feel BLESSED to have had her in my life, RELIEVED she is no longer suffering and EXCITED she is now with our Lord and her beloved Nancy!!!
