Big Cheese,
Thank you for teaching me so many things in PE. You taught me all those pedagogy principles that I am still using them today. I remember you listend to Billy Joel and Chicago in your office after class....I even remember that we went to Astro Dome (with Nolan) and watched Greg Maddox pitching there. ......and the Thanksgivings that I drove to your house in Starkville and Beaumont. You love to talk about pitcher's WHIP rate and basketball strategies.....and slam dunk doesn't need the skill. Thank you very much for all the great memories and excellent knowledge that you share with me.
Suzanne, Lon, Nolan, and Maggie,
Thank you for letting me know about this. He is a great guy and Big Cheese. Now he is pain free. He is probably playing a lot of tennis and watching March Madness as much as he wants up there.
Big hugs and stay strong!
Sent with love and remembrance,
Doris

To the entire Nix family: Words simply cannot express the loss being felt within the Family and Consumer Sciences department (as well as throughout the Lamar campus) at this time. Dr. Nix was one of the most kind and gentle men I have ever known. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Suzanne, Lon, Nolan, and Maggie, Please accept our sincere offer of condolence and support as you cope with this significant loss. Charlie was a good father, dedicated husband, cunsummate professional, and a dear friend to us. People are often suprised when we tell them that Tuscaloosa was our favorite place to live. It's simple: the friends we made there were the not only the very best, they were family. All the best to you as you work through the grieving process. Roll, Tide!!! Sue & Jim Eddy
