Dr. Nix was such a great mentor and help to all of the students in the Health and Kinesiology departmen. The last time I spoke with him is when I walked across the stage to receive my Masters and he smiled and said "Make Us Proud". He will be forever missed. Prayers to you through this trying time.

In Honor of Charlie and his beloved family,
I share my continuous thoughts and prayers with all of you. I am sorry that I was never able to personally meet Charlie but out of love of my friend and his sister Nancy I felt a connection of who Charlie was as a loving son, brother, and most of all the love for his children and wife. Thank you for sharing the great memories and stories that will carry on in his legacy. Charlie you fought the toughest fight of your life and may God Bless you for all of your hard work. Now you may rest in peace and be pain free. Your new journey begins. May your soul continue to touch the lives of your loved ones and may your name and the man you stood for be passed down for generations to come. God Bless you all.

Charlie was one of a kind. He always let you know what was on his mind. We will remember his big heart and great laugh that he shared with us for many years. Our memories of our visit last summer make us smile. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Love, Mark and Karen

My goodness, what a loss for the world. I worked under Dr. Nix for 8 years and he was a wonderful colleague and friend. He was such an encouragement to me during those years and He will be so deeply missed. I simply don't have the words to express my sorrow and grief and pray for his family now in their loss. May the God of Heaven protect and bless you in this so very difficult time. God's speed.
