I typically think of loved ones in 'angel form' but as I think of Norman I think of a 'steadfast' soldier guarding the gate, protecting the walls, covering his loved ones with a mighty hand of protection, I still see him as I did as a 5yr old; mighty and massive and now with 'wings of gold'.thank you 'Boone' for loving our sister the way that you did, for being a good daddy to Rachel and a loving grandad.

Memories of my Daddy
Bluebird Father Daughter dance.
Fishing in the canals behind the house when I was little.
Letting me driving the golf cart, almost into the water.
My big ol 6’4” daddy holding my hand as we walked up the steps to school on the first day of 6th grade and the principle stopping us at the door and telling him I could make it from there.
Fishing, endless fishing trips.
Calling me late one evening upon returning home from a business trip and insisting that I bring Amanda to him and after bucking him on a very rare occasion he showed up on my door step to see his grandbaby.
Giving great advice when asked for it and ... even when not asked for it
On one occasion when a hurricane was approaching, he called me to ask “what time I’d be there”, I told him I didn’t think it was going to be bad and the traffic to get to Jasper would be horrible so we weren’t coming. He said “I love you, but I will never forgive you if something happens to my grandchildren”, we made it to Jasper about 8 long hours later.
He loved his puppies and grand puppies.
He loved his grandparents, his mother and he loved my mother and taught me how to love.
Every Christmas or holiday and every other weekend at his house in Jasper because he wouldn’t have it any other way.
He lived large and loved us so fiercely.
He did not want to leave us, he fought to the end.
I love you daddy.
