I want to extend my condolences to David, Dolly, and their families. I have only fond memories of Mae-Mae. She was very special to me and I regret not being with you today to honor her. Please know that my thoughts are with you all. That riverbank is becoming crowded with all those that taught me right from wrong.

A sweet spirit and gentle soul has gone from us, but we rejoice in the knowledge of the eternal life with with our Maker that awaits her.

I'm so glad that I was able to visit with my dear cousin Verna Mae the last 2 years. Her sweetness made you feel so good. Her kindness to my dad during his later years will always be remembered and appreciated. I know all of us will think of her often, and will be thankful to God for the gift of having her as a Christian relation.

Our hearts are saddened at the passing of Verna Mae. She had a kind and gentle spirit. She always greeted us with that beautiful smile and we will miss her. There is peace in knowing that she is in that better place that awaits us.
