I knew Bill from Reagan High School in Houston back in the 50's. He and I used to sing together at talent shows that the school put on. We also attended the same church (Shepherd Drive United Methodist). My husband, Russell Davis, stood up for him when he and Cookie got married. Unfortunately, we didn't see much of each other in the years that followed graduation. I was in touch with him for a short period of time when he was singing at nursing homes in the Spring area back in the 90's. He was a great person and, obviously, was loved by many. I just want to say that he was a very special man and it was my privilege to have known him for 60+ years. He was the same wherever he went. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.

Sincerely,
Barbara Munnerlyn Davis

To Doug and Greg, it's apparent that your dad was a great man. He did such a fantastic job raising you both! And, he passed down his good looks to ya both as well! :-) Celebrate and be glad that he is now with your mom. Love and hugs to you both and your families!

My deepest sympathies. So glad I got to meet Bill last year at National Night Out. What a special person your father was and what a great story teller. He will be missed but most importantly he will be remembered, always and each of us will have our own story of meeting Bill Storey.

Deepest condolences to Bill's family. I knew Bill for over 20 years whilst living in Pinewood. Bill was a pillar of the community. Like many residents I remember Bill at the Pinewood Store every day, he always had a story to tell you. I also had the pleasure to work with him on the water board for several years. Bill was a true American Hero and one of the Greatest Generation! God bless you Bill, may you rest in peace.

Paul & I would like to offer our condolences to the Storey family. Some of my favorite memories of him are drinking coffee every morning @ the Pinewood Grocery; his yellow dog t-shirt; and seeing him dressed in his uniform to pass out Halloween candy to the kids. Mr. Storey was a pillar of the Pinewood community; he will be missed.

Our prayers go out to the Storey family. Pinewood will miss Bill. He was on the water district board of directors with me over the last few years. I always enjoyed driving him home after the meetings. He always had a story for me about something that happened during his military service.

He was also executive director of the Boy Scouts in this area while I was coming up through the scouting ranks.
