Living in Nederland until age 19, I recall many hours of Brother Bill's instruction on song directing. Along with my father and mother, WB and Elsie Lofton, we enjoyed singing along with congregations at the gatherings around the Triangle when Bill would direct us. Precious memories.

Bill was the man who encouraged my husband to learn to lead singing when we all attended West Side Church of Christ. He was a wonderful mentor, voice coach and teacher - encouraging him to learn and grow in self confidence. Marshall called Bill, "My Hero". Bettye, we have loved you and Bill for so long, and I'm sorry you've lost your wonderful mate. He was such a special man. Love, Velma Rae

Growing up going to Westgate Church of Christ, every Sunday I got a hug from Bill Cook and his hugs were always the best. Heaven definitely gained an angel and I know he's up there singing his heart out and hugging everyone! He will be greatly missed!

Dear Bettye and Family, Our loss is Heaven's gain and what a wonderful person has joined that choir of angels. You and Bill hold many fond memories for us from our days at Westgate. We will pray for your loss to be easier to bear because you know that so many care. God bless you and keep you. Joe and Debbie Winston

Betty andFamily, We have wonderful memories of our time with our Westgate family. Bill was always a joy to be around and his voice was of an angel then. Heaven has gained another angel in the choir. Our prayers are with you, Bill and Sandy Snelson

Hugging Mr. Bill every Sunday was a great way to start my week! I think he enjoyed the hugs just as much as I did! Such a great man to have known for so long! I'm going to miss him greatly! Love you Mr. Bill!

So sorry to hear of the loss of this wonderfully sweet and funny man. Got to know him over many years with Beaumont Interfaith Choral Society and Symphony of Southeast Texas Chorus. Such a good singer! He most certainly will be missed.

Dear Bettye and family, Betty and I send our sincere sympathy. Bill was my voice teacher for one semester back in 1949 at Harding. You, Bettye, were always a favorite of Shirley's. I remember when she attended your wedding in Little Rock. Betty is the widow of Dr. Kenneth Davis, Jr. We have been married for almost two years now. May God bless you and comfort you and give you peace. Our love, Glenn and Betty Boyd
