We met Pat when he bought the Spotted Horse Mine and moved in as a neighbor a mile or so up the hill. What a great guy! He was more fun to be around with his upbeat attitude and antics. We used to call Pat the Dennis the Menace of the Over 60's set. He had more energy and gumption than most kids. He was ALWAYS doing something! He was a great cook whether it be jams or syrups or salsas. Pat made it great! He would leave for his hunting camp in the fall and we always looked forward to his return trip back and the stories that followed. Pat never did make it back and he has been missed ever since he left after his accident. Pat left a big hole here in the canyon and will never be forgotten.

Dear Pat,
Every time Kris or I talked to you, you were always positive and upbeat and looked toward the future despite the illness. You were an inspiration to us, and we admired your determination.
Warmly, Cathy Moser

Pat will be greatly missed here in Montana, he was a heck of cook and a great Friend and Hunting companion. We really enjoyed Pat's help during our time at the ranch my wife and myself managed. Pat was a true old fashioned Mountain Man as well, we spent a lot of time together shooting black powder and tuning arrows for hunting. Pat was quite an adventurer on his four wheeler helping to maintain many of the old trails in the Judith mountains near his Spotted Horse Mine property. Thank you Pat for your friendship!

I met Patrick 02 03 some where in there I believe, he had pickup truck trouble and I must have made an impression on him. We became pretty good friends, he taught me a lot, espesially about barbque. Always wanted to get down to see him check out Texas see some of things he talked about. I always called him my token Texan, he will be missed but more importantly he will be remembered.

Pat and I became close friends and associates dealing with our gold mines in the Judith Mountains near the old town of Maiden. He owned the famous Spotted Horse and Kentucky Favorite gold mine and I, an adjoining mine. Among many others things, we spent one summer reopening and timbering a caved tunnel in the Spotted Horse. "Miner" can be added too his long list of achievements. A good friend, as stubborn as the get, yet as warm as they come.
Pat Henry was an insperation for many throught his long illness. He never gave up. Good by my friend.

My tie with Pat was through the Spotted Horse Mine and Jerry Hanley. I was sorry to hear of his health struggles and now his passing. I'm sorry he didn't get a chance to do more with the property he enjoyed so much. Best wishes to his family.
