I am saddened to learn of Father Badeen's death. I remember him well from several visits to Saint Michael's. It was in 1971 when I came to Beaumont from a trip to visit him when I learned of the death of Father Quinlan at Assumption Parish.
Father Badeen was a good man.

We love you. You will be forever missed. You were always there for us. You will be in our prayers, mind and heart forever. Every time I eat Syrian bread I will think of you. I enjoyed my 3 hour visit with you, Louise and Farida Monday night before Christmas. We laughed a lot that night as we always did. God Bless You. You are home now.

A father, a mentor, a guide, a leader, a friend...

I was so very saddened to learn of the passing of dearest Father John, He chrismated me and my family and will always be in my heart. I was so happy to see him in Lafayette in November when Bishop Antoun was in. He gave me a hug and a kiss I will always remember. Memory Eternal!

I knew Father John as a guest in his home when I came to have coffee with his Son, Jim Badeen. Father John always made me feel like family when I visited, and he always impressed me with his humility, knowledge of so many subjects, and personality. God be with his family always.
