My heart has been heavy and broken since we learned today of Teddy's death. I can still remember how young Teddy looked when he first hired on at BPD many years ago. I can recall the sly smile and wonderful laugh that Teddy had. He was always willing to risk his life to help any of us. Later, in CID, Teddy would help solve many crimes as a detective and skilled polygraph operator, who sought justice for crime victims. As a Sgt. in Training, Teddy was responsible for hiring and training the new officers at BPD. Teddy will always be remembered by the " boys in blue" as a wonderful man who loved his family, as a courageous man, and as a great friend. I had been praying nightly for God to heal him. However, in His infinite wisdom and love, God decided to call Teddy home. Free at last from pain and suffering, but resting in Jesus' arms. Our prayers and love go out to Teddy's family and friends, who are heartbroken. " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Therefore, God has stored up honor for me, which will be delivered to me on that Day." We will still see Teddy every day in our hearts, our minds, and one day, again face-to-face. May God bless and comfort Teddy's family and loved ones every day.
