May God grant you peace in knowing that he is no longer in pain and he is now in the house of the Lord. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers not only in the last few days but for the last few years. Your family and the Lord will help you in the days to come and the memories that you have now will only become more precious. God bless!

Steady Teddy - an all-around great guy who will be greatly missed. He adored his family and made them a priority as witnessed in his deeds and demeanor on and off duty. His sons, Josh and Chase, were his favorite pastime. At work, Teddy shunned the limelight, preferring to thrive in the shadows where he could work angles and pull strings. Quiet, but bold. He could often "get things done" with a handful of carefully chosen words and a mischievous grin. As cunning as he was creative, Teddy was an exceptional interrogator who could skillfully elicit information from the most reluctant suspect, dissect partial admissions, and then reassemble them into a semblance of the truth. Like a sport, "getting the bad guy" was a victory worthy of a high-five with all the play-by-play locker room banter afterwards. It was my honor to be his friend and a colleague who shared countless victories for the good guys. It'll never be the same.

It was so sad to hear of Teddy's passing. He was a good officer always willing to help others and I was proud to know him during his entire career with the BPD. Our prayers are with Teddy's family....

I am truly sorry to hear my childhood friend has passed away. I experienced both good times and bad times with Teddy in the early years of our lives; We grew up up a block away from one another and spent a great deal of time playing together as children. I hate that he died so young and from a terrible disease. I know he will be missed by his beloved family, his dear friends and his fellow police officers. I am praying for the Holy Spirit to comfort you all in this sad time.

Cheryl, I cannot begin to say how my heart goes out to you and the boys. I have fond memories of Teddy, although it has been so long since I last saw him. I do remember that momma loved him very much. I am praying for you, the boys, Teddy's family and our family. May God bring you peace and comfort at this time. I love you, Lynn

Teddy will be missed from his friends he went to school with in Silsbee. He was a grade ahead of me. I am saddened to hear of him leaving so young. And to his wife and sons, may God Bless You. His spirit will always be with you.
