I am so sorry for the loss of Pat. I know she is with the angels.

How is it possible to sum up my mother’s life in just a few minutes or just a few words. The last couple of days I’ve pondered what I could say that would even begin to paint a picture of my mother and the life she lived for 77 years on this earth. And there simply isn’t enough words to do justice to the memory of mom. But, if I could use one word to describe mom’s life it would be Beauty. Beauty surrounded my mother like a royal garment. And I’m certain that this beauty was a result of Christ’s love in her heart. Mom was never shy about sharing her love with others. She was compassionate to a fault, forgiving, and giving. It is only natural that her life would be surrounded with things of beauty. Her rich smile and sparkling eyes were her most beautiful features and made everyone with the good fortune to be near her feel warm, welcome, and loved. She was a beautiful woman her whole life, even when this devastating disease crippled her she was able to find the beauty in her situation. I know those of us who had the opportunities to travel with her to the mountains learned how big, heavy, ugly rocks could to mom be a thing of beauty. Her gardens today are a testament to mom’s foresight and vision of how a rock could be a thing of beauty. There are so many things to say about mom, but none of them would fully do her justice. Her life was simply one of beauty. Beauty in her relationships with others, beauty in her faith and devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her inward and outward beauty, beauty in how she presented herself, beauty in the nature she so loved and surrounded herself with. I think if mom ever had a slogan it would have been, “If you look closely enough you will find beauty in all things”. And now, for her, the veil has been lifted. Mom is no longer looking at heaven through cloudy glass, but she is living in eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And Heaven’s Gardens are going to be even more beautiful from now on and probably a lot rockier too.

Pat was such a dear, sweet friend. I don't always remember what she said, but do I remember how she made me feel - special. She had a gift of making everyone feel special. Her heart was as big as Texas.

I love and miss you, Pat.

We would like the family to know we are thinking about them and that they are in our prayers. It is hard to lose a loved one but we can take comfort in knowing they lived a full life and loved their family.

Pat was my very special friend. Always loving, caring, kind and sincere. Always willing to listen and never judge. Always making me feel like I was so very special and how glad she was to see me. I loved her dearly and I will miss that big beautiful smile and those hugs. You may gone, but your love, your strength, your experience and your hope will always be there in our hearts. See you later, Pat!

The fun times we shared together were always so special.......whether in meetings, exercising in the pool, playing cards, or just enjoying our own giggles. Pat always wore that glowing smile. I loved her dearly and I am sure she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Pat will forever have a special place in my heart. Her legacy -passed on to so many through her experience strength and hope will endure in them and therefore many others.

May our Heavenly Father, touch your hearts and take away the pain, of such a deep loss. Pat was such an amazing woman, she gave and left behind many great Blessings, gifts of love, good stories and unbelieveable strength. She taught me so much in the time I was blessed by her love, smile and humor. I know she is resting in the Loving arms of Jesus. God be with you all, we can carry on as examples of her life.

Pat's spirit, her ever greeting smile, her wisdom and spirituality have been an example and challenge to all who knew her. An always lovely, loving,woman. generous with her time and hospitality.
She made everyone she saw feel loved and special.
How dearly she will be missed.
