Reverend Cecil Davis, Jr.

The Davis family have been life long friends of my parents. I was about the age of 6 When........Bro Doug and Bro Cecil came to a little country church to preach a revival. Impacted my life then and continued years later when we were living in Beaumont....great man of God......praying for the Davis Family.

Bro Davis was an awesome man of God. He was so sweet and humble. He married Jimmy and I, dedicated and baptized my two sons, assisted in preaching husbands funeral. He has played a vital part in my life. He was not only my pastor but a good friend as well. He is not suffering any more. Probably singing, preaching and playing his steel guitar in Heaven. May God wrap his arms of strength around the family at this time. Love all of ya'll!!!

Uncle Cecil was a great man of God and will be missed.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Bro. Davis. So many wonderful memories of the two of you pastoring in Henderson, Long with Doug and Betty. All of you hold a special place in my heart. Know that he is in a much better place, singing on the street of glory!

I give honor to the life of Bro. Cecil Davis. My observations of him over the past 36 yrs have resulted in seeing a kind, gentle and compassionate man. God bless the Davis family at this time with much strength. It is sad to lose our men of value and strength.

From childhood I have known Bro. Cecil Davis. He and his brother were friends of my mother and dad, especially when we lived in Conroe, Texas. They visited us often and preached at our church. I am so sorry to hear of his passing yet all the while realizing that God has all of us in his hand and has control of it all. Prayers for his family.

Cherishing so many memories ....from a boy with Brother Davis as my pastor in Arkansas and then in Lumberton singing with them in a trio .......what a great mentor and spiritual leader!! Thinking of the family in this loss, but rejoicing in this home going!!

There will NEVER be a another man like Bro. Davis...so thankful I had the opportunity to call him Pastor and for his influence in my life...prayers go out to Sis. Davis...Greg, Gwen and family. ..much love
