Dear Harold,
My words can't begin to express the sorrow I feel for yours, and our family's loss. Effie was a wonderful sister-in-law and will be sorely missed. She was a great cook and I learned some of her cooking secrets (our Daddy always remarked on her cooking).

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I used to sit with Effie at the St Mary's 7:30 masses . I had not been in awhile and didn't even know she had been ill. She will surely be missed.
