I was one of the students to be blessed with having Mrs. Vincent as my 5th grade teacher at Hillcrest Elementary, in Room 105. She was my favorite teacher for all my years of school. I also attended her retirement party, and it was so good to see her. Many years later, and I guess several years ago now, I was having lunch at a restaurant in Beaumont and saw Mr. and Mrs. Vincent. She remembered my name after all of those years, as well as my older brother's name, whom she also taught. I was saddened to see her picture among the obituaries on Broussard's website. She was such a special lady and I know she will be greatly missed. I will pray for comfort and peace for the family left behind, but know that she is in Heaven now.

Dearest Nan, I am very sorry for your great loss. Mrs. Vincent is a great person and I'm truly blessed to have met her. She is my favorite teacher of all time and has been my dear friend for the past 37 years. She is kind and compassionate. She taught me to notice life's beauties such as daisies, dogwood flowers and pecans. I have such pleasant thoughts when I think of Mrs. Vincent. Love, Van

What wonderful memories I have of Nancy! I was raised across the street from her and oh yes, I did get to enjoy the wonderful cookies and cakes she made.
My prayers are with Owen, Nan, and Renee' who I grew up with and all their families. May God bless you.

Life does not offer rehersals, practice, rough drafts, out of own try-outs, erasers or white outs. Nancy did not need any of these. She was instinctively kind, generous, and loving. I will miss her every day and will love her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as she would.

A great Lady has gone home, but leaves her light shining for all of us to find our way by her teachings. She leaves us with heavy hearts, but we know she is happy and well, now.
Prayers for all the family. Bruce and Nan, I send my love to you. Hold fast to your priceless memories.
God Bless, Lou Bodden Buxton SPHS '65

Dear Family...No words can tell you how much Mrs. Vincent meant to me. I am 52 and she was my teacher and my friend in 5th grade. We remained friends and close for many years until time and life changes got in my way. She was always there and such an inspiration. She was such a wonderful influence to me growing up and not very popular in elementary school and through the early years as an adult. My NHS graduating class of 1979 was the year she retired. She had a party for us and sat us in our assigned seats even...how special and how special the momentos she gave us that day. She has been on my mind a lot lately and to hear the news today breaks my heart, truly breaks my heart. Not only does her passing hurt me but my heart hurts for you. I too, had my mother die in April...I do know how you feel. She is in a much better place than you or I can even imagine. Oh, how happy she is!!!I am VERY sure my Mother met her with open arms. Much Love to each of you & may our God hold each one of you as dearly close to His heart as He can, so you can feel Him there with you. Love, Sherri Tatum-Hebert
