I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of this beautiful woman who is loved by so many. Lolita was the embodiment of the dedicated, highly-respected and capable public servant. Her life has made a great difference in Jefferson County. I, along with my late husband Richard and our family, was honored to call her friend. My prayers are with Lolita's family and all who loved her.

Melissa my heart goes out to you in this time of sorrow. Just know your mom is in a better place now and pain free. In life we loved her dearly and she did not go alone , because a part of us went with her when God called her home . She left you peaceful memories and her love is still your guide.

My heart is heavy. I only worked with Lolita a short time at the city of Beaumont but she really touched my life. Thank you for that Lolita!!

I am so sad I have lost such a long time friend. Lolita was my neighbor since I was born until I married. She was such a loving caring person to her Father and her Mother. She deeply loved her sisters Rita and Anita. She called me her little sister. When ever I needed something she was always there. I will miss her wonderful laugher. I know how much she loved her daughter Melssia. I am praying for her family . I will one day see in you in heaven standing next to my Mom and Dad who you loved and your Mom and Dad and Rita all waiting for me with your wonderful laughter. Love my friend Lolita.
