Hazeldine Lane Madenwald

I have looked for Mr. and Mrs. Madenwald for years via the internet because I wanted to thank them for running Post 12. I had fantastic adventures because of them. Even as a teenager I was in awe with how much they gave of themselves for our Post.

I just found out about the passing of Mrs. Madenwald, as I knew her as a teenager in Explorer Post 12. She had such a positive impact on so many young people, although at the time we may not have appreciated it. I am grateful to have visited with her on a sunny day in her driveway a year and a half ago. She impressed upon me a love of nature, birds, and wildlife. May her memory be a blessing forever for her family and loved ones.

Thank you for having a positive impact on my life for over 40 years. Thanks for unselfishly giving of your time to be a great listener who never judged, but made my day brighter. I appreciated your enthusiasm for life and for sharing your love of Jesus Christ by example. My gratitude for being such a prolific writer of monthly adventures and sending them to us. You were a giver in so many ways, but your goodness started in a loving heart. Enjoy singing "Glory Hallelujah" in the heavenly choir.

What a wonderful place Dean Madenwald had in my life - from a young child all the way through adulthood. Now she is fully at rest in the arms of Jesus.
