Dear Willis family, even though we haven't seen or spoken to each other in a long time, I still feel close to you all. Like us, your families have grown and changed , but I still remember playing at your house and reading those comic books. I loved your parents and so did my parents. My heart goes out to you all. Sincerely , Peggy

Clearly one of my favorite childhood uncles. Uncle Howard called me Leon for some reason. I remember he and my Dad, Joe Dorsey building an 8ft skiff in his garage on Congress street back in 1964. We had so much fun in that boat. The last time I saw uncle Howard was at ParkDale Mall at the cafeteria. I had not seen him for 25 years. He was with Aunt Bula Mae. He said " hey Leon". I immediately knew who he was and was so glad to see him. He was always a bright light in our lives, so kind and friendly to me and my brother and sister. My condolences to his wonderful daughters. You guys had one of the great ones as a Dad. D. Dorsey

Hi Jackie, Bill and extended family. So sorry for your loss. He will be missed on this earth but it is good to know that he 'CROSSED OVER' to a better place. He was the last of the mohicans, a talent unto his own. Of eight siblings, he outlived seven of them, OUTSTANDING. God bless you and your family. Al Alvin Varnon, Jr.
