I had several conversations with Charles while working at Faith Comes By Hearing. He had such a "heart and passion" to reach the lost with the Word of God in a form they could understand.
May the Lord continue to bless the things he was involved in while alive on this earth!!
He will be missed!!

I have visited with Charles, several times by phone, while working at Faith Comes By Hearing. I know he had a REAL heart and passion for reaching the lost with the Word of God in a form they could understand.
May the Lord continue to bless all the things he was involved in while alive on this earth. He will be missed!!

I remember 3 years ago sitting in a Maasai village listening the Bible. I was told that one Proclaimer/Audio Bible was being used to plant churches in 4 village. In this village over 100 had come to Christ, almost all delivered from demons and now living with hope and peace. Why now after so many years of resistance to the Gospel I asked, it always came to us in Swahili or in English and so was foreign to us but this is in Maasai. Charles was responsible for bringing together the support that allowed us to record the Maasai New Testament and I think in heaven he will be having an awesome experience meeting the many who are their because they heard the Bible in Maasai. We want to say Thank You!! We are deeply honored that you have selected Faith Comes By Hearing to receive the Memorial Gift. Morgan

Dear Tommye and family, as we share the sorrow of your loss, we also rejoice in the joyful homecoming that must have awaited Charles in his heavenly mansion. He was truly a mission mobilizer on behalf of the Maasai people of Africa. Instrumental in the recording of the Maasai NT, he would be happy to know that nearly 3000 Maasai Proclaimers are in Africa, spreading the Good News. This mighty man of God left a legacy that we treasure here at Faith Comes By Hearing.

Charles and I had many long conversations on the phone about the Maasai people. He was so excited when the Maasai NT recording was finished and listening groups were started among the Maasai. It was also a delight to meet Charles and Tommye during their visit to Faith Comes By Hearing many years ago. What a precious couple. Charles will be missed, but leaves us with a beautiful memory.
