With deepest sympathy. I worked for Chief for 6 years. A good man and the best Boss I ever worked for.

Julie and family, Sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Your folks are so sweet. I still remember all the ball games they came to.....I know I have pictures of them snuggled up and kissing while in the stands!! Precious moments!!! Your dad will be greatly missed. Just remember my family is praying for all of you to get through these days ahead. Let us know if you need anything! The Anthonys~~

Gene was such a wonderful person who I first met at Lamar University back in the 1970's. After graduation I would try and visit him as much as possible. He was a dedicated person and we were Blessed to have him at Lamar.

Your dad watched over me in Beaumont and again at Lamar. He was "old school" police in that he would go make sure your parents knew you were "out of line" and he believed that God could "knock sense" into most people.
He taught his kids to walk the talk in the Lord and to cherish their name, their character above all else. I look forward to seeing him on the other side.

Prayers are with Mrs. Carpenter and all of the family. Mr. Carpenter was such a kind humble man. My parents thought so highly of the Carpenters. I know my mother greeted him when he entered the gates. He will be missed.
