Smith Family,

First he was Mr. Smith (my friend), then he was Carl ( my father-in-law) and then he was Grand-Daddy. He always had a smile and hug for me. I will miss his twinkling eyes and smile which brightened even the darkest days. Thank you for sharing him with me over the years.

Howard words canot express the sorrow overlosing a love one like your Dad. He was an exceptional man. You have followed in his foot steps. We need more leaders like him. Scouting has losted one of the finest.Our prayers are with you and all the family.

To all the Smith family I am very sorry for your loss. He was such a nice man. To Howard and Sandra it was always fun to see him and visit with your parents at scout events. I apologize for missing the visitation and funeral today. I found out about it and read the details during the funeral service. I did not know he died Tuesday. Condolences from Craig also. He was sorry to hear the news.

Howard, our prayers are with you. I know you have many great memories of your father. The fact that you are a chip off the ol' block will bring you and your family much comfort.

Mrs. Smith, Dr. Smith, Howard and Kirby... we are so sorry for your loss, and I am sorry that we are not able to attend his life celebration. The video is absolutely beautiful...thank you for sharing those memories with us. May God grant you the peace and comfort that only He can give during this time. You will definitely be in our prayers.
