Derek and I met a few years ago at Dixie and hit it off immediately. We always laughed about the fact that we were in a relationship for a whole 24 hours! He was an incredible, caring, loving, funny guy who always made time to two-step with a friend. I will always keep your memory in my heart and will forever miss you Derek. Your love for others showed in everything you did and you will never be forgotten by those who knew you.

As the days go on I think about you alot... Im singing for you tomorrow man I know you would love it, I miss you more and more every second of the day. I cant wait to see you I know your pain free and having a blast. You are my superman and ill always carry on your name. Your not gone forever you Just went on home..
