To Ella, my Mom, aka Tootsie, aka Allie. You've achieved the ultimate goal, heaven, along with so many others in your long 93 year lifetime! Mom's specialties were, 1st and foremost, sacrifice for 6 children. 2nd, she was a wonderful Cajun cook on a daily basis, 3 times a day! Last but not least, she enforced discipline among all of us!! We had rules and we gave respect and went to church on Sunday, morals were big with Mom, she lead by example! All of us 6 children have tons of memories of the good ol' days that were provided during our childhood. Thank you Mom for all the Fabulous Thanksgivings at your house until you reached 80, she cooked for about 40 people as our families grew in number! I could write a book, as we all could! I will close now and say to you with love, God Bless and rest in peace in your eternal life, you've earned it!!

Mamaw Alley:

What do you say to such a loss? What a precious and rare person this world is not worthy to claim. What a legacy of God's love. I don't recall one time Mamaw Alley referring to me as a step-granddaughter. I was one of her granddaughters. Period. I never once felt different. I felt I was just as much hers as my own blood. How I have loved her. But, as a testament to her love look how blessed we are as a family to have each other and the precious memories of Thanksgivings of his, hers and ours as one.
Let me say further Mamaw Alley has instilled in all of us the same tendency to love the same.

The Obituary written naming "her children" touches my heart because I know who created it is a little piece of Mamaw Alley. May we all love each other as she has loved us. I will forever hold such precious memories within my heart and I hope her love will be a tie that binds us that remain for the rest of our living days.

Love, Vicki

Eddie and Family,

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

This lady is one of a kind, and the last of a dieing bree. She never wore a bathing suit, or a pair of shorts, Don't know why, She was a beautiful young lady with morals and charcater plus, she carried rosary always to help bridge life's ditches and gullys. She lost her first husband to TB, with two young boys and survied until she met my Dad Ed Vaughan with two sons and they fell in love. She and my Father birthed a gril and another boy, in a marrage, everybody said coundn't work. However, we all proved everybody wrong, led by two mature, level minded people in love, and six children form mixed parents that became bloodbrothers and sisters and would fight for each other at the drop of a hat.

In 1957, she lost her second husband, when a sweeter exploded on the Polform Unit at Magnolia Oil Corporation killing two men. Her husband, our Dad walked out of the fire to an waiting amblance and said; I want to see a Priest first, then, my family, Ed died seven hours lader. This lady, with the grace of god and her commitment to her family lived to see her six children grow into adults, as below. She, now can rest in peace with her loving husband and one son, Lee Roy.

One is a retired MobilOil Engineering Supervisor, one is an Ordained minister, One (Lee Roy) is deceased, One is retired from Budwiser management, One is retired from her own business, One is retired from Exxon Mobil, has is a world renown Coker Unit Expert, and travels the world to help Coker Unit Startup's.

Not bad for something that would never work! Don't run and hide, Take the changledge.

Ella is now running downing Ed and Lee Roy, who should be waiting at the Pearly Gates.
