I enjoyed knowing Paul Keating! Once when we lived in Winnie, Paul grew weary of having to take so many trips he had won as a super automobile dealer. I teased him that he could either pass up some of those trips or simply throttle back on his effectiveness as a dealer. I don't think he did either one. He was a good man for his family, his community, and his church.

Sad to see you go. My prayers are with all the family. I know he will be missed by many, but he will be among many of his people in Heaven. I hope that he tells his many employees that have gone before him just how much we miss the whole bunch. He was a good man surrounded by good people, and I am sure Winnie is a better community for having had him as a business man for many years there. I hope that someday I too will join him and his crew again, We were dubbed Keatings "A" team. Such a sad day. Again GOODBYE.

To all the Keating family, I am very saddened to hear of the passing of your husband and father. He was an inspirational man, very kind, and loved by the people of Winnie. I remember stories my father Bob would tell about his working with Mr. Keating. All of them with the friendship they shared. My prayers are with you all.

To the Keating family: This great little town of ours has lost one of the most respected and admired citizens that has ever lived here and ever will live here. Mr. Keating earned his respect and admiration from the honesty and integrity that he always showed everybody. I , like so many others, bought my first new car from him at 21 years old on a handshake and a promise of $500 when I got it and he set up the payments for me. He helped so many young people establish good credit . He was a perfect example of The Golden Rule. I 'll never forget buying the first 1973 Chevy Vega that hit Keating's lot in September 1972. I loved that car and being able to buy it by myself with the help of Mr. Keating. He was never too busy to stop and visit awhile anytime and anywhere I saw him . He gave so much of his time to other organizations in our town. He was a pillar in our community. Winnie lost a fine man that Heaven gained.

We were saddened to hear of Mr. Paul's passing. He was such a kind and thoughtful man. When he saw us, he never failed to stop and talk to us and ask about our family. He was a true southern gentleman. His family and the community has lost a wonderful man. RIP Mr. Paul.
